Annual Maintenance Check List

THINGS TO DO…

• Inspect overall system.
• Replace any defective parts covered by warranty.
• Bury any exposed wire.
• Remove lamps and clean socket contacts.
• Clean fixtures and lenses. 
• Apply weather protectant to all exposed metal parts. 
• Inspect all tree mounted fixtures for growth around mounts and wire fasteners.
• Apply corrosion preventive compound to all sockets and electrical contacts.
• Replace lamps per schedule. 
• Check voltage at all lamps. 
• Adjust fixtures as necessary for maximum effect.
• Inspect transformers, trip and reset all breakers. 
• Check transformer wire connections for snug fit.
• Clean transformers. 
• Check time clocks. 
• Inspect photo cells. 
• Inspect all switching devices and ensure they are working properly. 
• Recommend repairs, improvements and additions to lighting system. 

ALWAYS MAKE CONTACT WITH THE HOMEOWNER FOR POSSIBLE NEW LEADS. LEAVE CARDS, LITERATURE, ETC. 
(This is your best marketing tool!)

You might want to list some or all of the above items on an agreement printed on your letterhead, indicating the package price for your service. Don't forget to include your travel time!

You might want to state…..
All of your service work will be completed in a professional manner, following standard industry practices. 
All work is warrantied against weather related damage to serviced items.
Warranty excludes damage caused by lawn tools, weed eaters, physical abuse, etc. 
Repairs, alterations and additions to the lighting system will be billed in addition to your service agreement price. Any such work is to be approved by the owner on a separate work order. 

Don't forget sales tax, if applicable. 

Specify approximate date you will be performing the service. 

State and local laws vary. Therefore it is recommended that you have your attorney review your completed service agreement.
